Saida — October 2025. To mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Dr. Nazih Bizri Primary Healthcare Center at Al Moasat Association hosted an awareness lecture titled “The Importance of Early Detection: Prevention & Treatment Guidelines,” delivered by Dr. Salim Ramadan, consultant in obstetrics and gynecology.

The lecture targeted nursing students from the Sidon Technical Institute, with the participation of the teaching and administrative staff and Al Moasat team members. Opening the session, the Center’s Medical Director Dr. Mona Nour Al-Din stressed that early detection saves lives, calling for breaking fear and social barriers that prevent some women from regular screening, and underscoring the importance of ongoing awareness.

Dr. Ramadan presented detailed guidance on self-examination and routine screening, major risk factors, and real case studies, alongside motivational messages on prevention and the critical role of psychosocial support for patients. He also addressed audience questions, reaffirming that early detection is the cornerstone of higher recovery rates.

In this context, Ms. Ghaidaa Al-Dirzi, Director of Al Moasat Association, emphasized the organization’s commitment to health education as a pillar of its humanitarian mission, especially for chronic and serious diseases such as breast cancer.
